Conservatives in Government have cut tax for an estimated 52,900 people in Poplar and Limehouse and taken 5,837 people out of tax altogether, taking pressure off household budgets, helping hardworking taxpayers be more financially secure and saving a typical family around £700 a year.
Prospective Poplar and Limehouse MP Chris Wilford said:
“Conservatives in Government are working to a long-term economic plan that is delivering for Britain. Our plan is helping to create a healthier local economy and a better future for hardworking taxpayers in Poplar and Limehouse.”
“Whilst over 50,000 people in Poplar and Limehouse have benefitted from tax cuts since 2010, Ed Miliband’s Labour is planning a great raid on the pockets of hardworking residents to subsidise their plans elsewhere.”
“We need to stick to the plan.”
