Conservatives in Government have created more jobs in Poplar and Limehouse. The number of people in work in our area has increased by 10,200 since 2010.
Employment is up across London by 489,000 since the last election. That's 489,000 more people who are earning a regular wage and who are better able to provide for their families.
Prospective Poplar and Limehouse MP Chris Wilford said:
"We are creating more jobs by backing small business and enterprise with better infrastructure and lower jobs taxes. Over 10,000 more people in Poplar and Limehouse are now benefitting from the security and stability of being in work than in 2010."
"Christine Lagarde, Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has said that Britain's economy is leading the way. Whilst much has been achieved, there is still more to be done and we need to stick with our long-term economic plan. A strong NHS and public services need a strong economy."
